I'm without reliable internet at home and so I'm sorry for the spontaneous lack of posts. It's getting in the way of my classwork and pretty seriously getting on my nerves. Alas, this is what occasionally happens when roommates don't pay their bills.
Regardless my training has hit a stall point because my life has gotten in the way. That military thing I vaguely mentioned a few posts back has become my prime focus since Thursday I'll be taking my ASVAB and getting my physical. So in prep for an examination that determines the next 8 years of my life I've been doing what any college student is familiar with and cramming as much into my head as possible.
In prep however, since its good for my mind and stress level, tomorrow will have a 0400 wake-up (practice for Thursday's) and a 0430 fun run. I've even bought myself a Banana Nut Odwalla bar to make sure I have no excuses about getting up in the morning. I'm one of those people who hates eating before a run but I won't make it far if there is nothing in my stomach, so that will be light enough while still being enough.
Tomorrow morning's run has no speed, intervals, or determined distance, it is just for me and the calming of my thoughts. Fun runs at whatever pace makes it enjoyable are also an integral part of any training regimen. In fact, they're the start of becoming a real runner, someone who runs because they can and not because they have to.
Tomorrow its just me, my Brooks and the pavement.
