This is todays pre-workout breakfast.
1/2 grapefruit with cinnamon
1 piece of plain multigrain toast
1 scoop banana flavored whey protein powder
I'm currently out of bananas so I'm eating the hundreds of citrus fruit taking up room in my kitchen. I actually like grapefruit, I'm that weird, but just about any fruit will do.
Banana flavored things are never far in my house however and so there is my whey protein which my body needs to continue its recovery and muscle build stages. Also because from what I've read whey is supposedly the most filling type of protein and I've got to say I agree.
Now I've got thirty minutes to digest and do backlogged homework before I hit the gym, again.
I like grapefruit too!!! I like to sprinkle a little truvia/splenda on top so it's not too bitter =)
ReplyDeleteI hate grapefruit. Probably once every six months I find myself wandering around the produce section going 'Hmm, grapefruit, why don't I like them? I'll try them again!' and every single time, without fail, I hate them. Ick! But I adore bananas!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely with Katie on this one-I'd rather the go for the bananas although I am more of an orange kinda girl. Grapefruits are way too bitter for me but strangely I go through phases where I love Ruby Red grapefruit juice.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly I like my grapefruit because it's bitter, hence the fact that I cover mine in cinnamon instead of sugar. Taste buds are an odd thing.
